“We still have HOPE” – RCB

“We still have hope..” – these were the words of Royal Challengers Bangalore ‘s captain Virat Kohli during their stint of straight 6 losses in 6 matches (Pretty extraordinary) and then the second extraordinary achievement (specifically for this season of the IPL) was the last ball win against CSK.

Parthiv Patel child not have had better reflex action than the one on the last ball against CSK.

The 3 big takeaways from the CSK vs RCB match:-

1. UMESH YADAV – UMESH YADAV may have been unwantedly and undesirably and exceptionally expensive for RCB but it was his ability to take the pace off the ball which left Dhoni’s bat away from the ball as UMESH had bowled all bowls above 140kmph in the last over except the winning ball in which he had taken the pace slightly off and reduced it to below 130kmph.

In doing so also UMESH kept the ball placement on point has bowled a little away from the stumps making it enough to go above the edge as a bowler closer to the stumps then it would have been easier for Dhoni to play it (possibly)

2. CHAHAR AND TAHIR – CSK seems have only selected wicket takers like Harbhajan, CHAHAR and TAHIR. CHAHAR and TAHIR are proving their worth in every match. CHAHAR is paving his way to glory as his bowling technique is very good and can take crucial wickets. In the CSK vs RCB match, CHAHAR took a swift wicket of V. Kohli and saved some crucial runs from being hit by Kohli.

3. IPL is now a game of the death overs. CSK git the runs in the death overs instead of having a steady rise. The death overs is the past of the innings which is the toughest to bowl and bat in as most of the bowlers have not only been customed to the field but also are now open for attack as the batsman knows their status in the match.

The death overs are DO or Die and hence the batsmen care less about the wickets but more about the runs as these blizzard runs which come as to the opponents surprise and also set extra pressure.

The second part of the second innings was very interesting as RCB did not lower their bowling and defence but they became more vulnerable to attacks as MSD had been in the field for a good amount of time that was enough to settle, MSD is unlike Russell and other big hitters and is able to keep balance between the Runs and the crucial Wickets. In the match, Dhoni stages a one – man show and brought it to the last ball something that the other teams have players who are capable of but are unable to use it executable and especially teams like KKR and their big hirers are unable to manage wickets.

The match was enthralling and every moment of the match was used widely. You can’t get over this match if you are a cricket freak, especially an IPL freak, especially a CSK, RCB or speyer of any of their players, and especially if you were present at the venue watching it live.
