BANGLA BLITZ

Bangladesh again rose to surprise the world and South Africa as Bangladesh beat SA by 21 runs in their first match of the World Cup 2019 and also the first match of the season which lasted a total of 50 overs for each side with no all – outs or chases before the 50 overs.

Bangladesh tackled all kinds of balls with precision, especially specialists like Tahir, Ngidi and also the like of JP Duminy. Bangladesh were not facing much problem against the Short or Length deliveries. They were powered by their best all – rounder Shakib, who also proved to be a good bowler. South Africa struggled with their bowling attacks against Bangladesh as Bangladesh were looking very positive and they also hung on with some superb strike rates.

The most impressive wicket of the first innings would particularly be the catch by De Cock.

Bangladesh’s bowling attack was very expensive for some but they did take some good wickets. The South African side was also very good with their batting with 4 batsmen scoring over 40 runs and one scoring 38 but still at a loss of 8 wickets, and a wicket every 4 overs after the 3rd wicket, no partnership just got that luck to steer to victory.
