South Africa – WAY FORWARD.

SOUTH AFRICA played against India in India’s first CWC19 match in which Ro – hit Sharma scored a beautiful century to lead India to a victory. But a victory for India meant the third defeat for South Africa in the CWC19 in as many matches which is not good for South Africa as teams like Bangladesh are looking forward to reaching the Semi – Finals but South Africa still seem to be confused on what they are doing.

South Africa need to win all 6 matches that are up next for them to atleast become a contender for one of the 4 available spots. South Africa have got a lot to do right, especially if they want to face West Indies and Australia and defeat them.

1. The main issue that SA is facing is regarding their players getting injured or ruled out. Against India, SA could not play Ngidi as he was not fit and just around the same another news came in confirming that Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the CWC19 due to injuries. South Africa are receiving 4 days between the match against India and the match against WI, and in this time they need to insure that all of their A – players are fit and ready to face WI.
2. South Africa need to play defensive while bowling and use players like Rabada or Morris for those cheeky wickets of their opponents by looking for that edge of the bat for those needed wickets. South Africa should use the other bowlers to play defensive and not attack the batsmen. South Africa are not having a good time and they need to play slow and prevent those runs that come in the middle overs by playing defensive and then attacking in the death overs. The first PP and the last PP are the ones during which South Africa should look for wickets.
3. Faf and De Cock are an essential part of the team and are performing better than others but if Amla does not come back with a bang, then SA can’t come back with a bang.

West Indies faced a big blow against Australia and will be looking for redemption now but bowlers like Rabada and Morris can be the threats for WI and if South Africa have a defensive field setting then that will be beneficial against Gayle, Lewis etc.
