FORMULA 1 – VIRTUAL RACING

The COVID – 19 Pandemic had brought the whole live sports world to a complete stop. So, Formula Racing turned to its virtual simulator platform to continue the racing fever. The Virtual races are not part of the F1 Championship and do not have the same 20 drivers, always, as on the actual grid but is still very fun and showcases some very interesting races.

Due to the wide variety of gaming skill levels amongst the drivers, game settings will be configured in such a way to encourage competitive and entertaining racing. This includes running equal car performance with fixed setups, reduced vehicle damage, and optional anti-lock brakes and traction control for those less familiar with the game.

The equal car performance settings allows for fair showcase of driver skills and reduced vehicle damage and traction control allows for more competitive and fun racing. These races are all about driving skills and that is giving some very fruitful results for drivers like George Russell, who from the being the driver who used to lead from the back has started to lead from the front.

This platform is also allowing other sportsmen to dwell into the world of F1 and enjoy the sport. It also allows former F1 drivers to comeback to the sport and challenge the current drivers and they are not taking it lightly, for example Esteban Gutierrez who finished 2nd in the Monaco Virtual Grand Prix.

The performance of the drivers is very interesting. The Alex Albon and Arthur Leclerc fight for position in the Monaco Grand Prix was something that is rarely seen in an actual race but was something that was not to be missed by the F1 fans who love climax action. And ofcourse, the general Norris, Leclerc and Russel fighting is something that shows their amazing talent in racing.

George Russel’s strategies are also very interesting and the way he dominates and fights out competition is something which is very amazing. F1 Virtual Grand Prix is a spectacle to watch.

WHAT Spielens – Prakhar Drolia suggests:

  • The timings should be more real – time and different/flexible. – Most races take place at almost the same time every alternate weekend. The timings should be more stretched out and different every time and related to how the actual race time stays, so that it becomes easier for many around the world to watch at least 1 race without having to either wake up early or stay awake for way longer than usual.
  • Top racers such as Hamilton and Vettel should also be requested to join for at least one special race, so as to create a complete challenge and increase the craziness.
  • The races could be slightly longer for more intense racing.

NOT MANY MORE VIRTUAL GRAND PRIX TO GO. IT WILL SURLY LEAVE AN IMPACT.
