Delhi Capitals also look in good form to qualify for the playoffs. DC are right now entering a period of favourable matches as their upcoming 4 matches are against RR and RCB with one match against CSK(probably the only tough match).
DC are playing some good matches and look in a better position than MI to grab that second spot on the table and play the qualifiers as DC has got easier matches for them. Well, but, yes RCB and RR can’t be downplayed as they now also have finally learnt how to play plus DC has got to figure out their batting as they are mainly getting runs out of Shaw, Pant, Dhawan and Iyer who will find it hard to keep up this performance in the future which will be a major concern for DC in the Playoffs.
A major downplay for DC is their NRR which is very low and if the teams were to be placed according to their NRR , then DC would be placed 5th in the table.
DC also not need to find out their 4th main bowler other than Sandeep, Axar and Rabada. Keemo Paul has also proven beneficial for DC along with Tewari but DC needs to find out the perfect combination of bowlers which I would say is as follows:-
- Kagiso Rabada
- Axar Patel
- Keemo Paul
- Sandeep Lamichhane
- Chris Morris
DC should also give one more chance to Trent Boult and Rahul Tewatia.
