THE FRIDAY SENSE – Formula 1 Gran Premio Heineken D’italia 2020

The Italian Grand Prix was off to an expected kind of start with there being some spins and some gravel run offs. There was a lot of insights gathered and it was very interesting to see how the drivers were fairing. The teams were also working out how to test their engine modes to fine tune them to their most perfect settings in order to maximise their performance and maintenance.

STRATEGY IS THE ROAD TO VICTORY

The Spanish Grand Prix 2020 made one thing one very clear and that was the point that strategy is the road to victory. Lewis Hamilton won due to his strategy and some lost due to their strategy. The race was crash proof one but did show some spectacular overtakes on a circuit normally known to be one where overtakes are rare. The pit stops played an important role, especially as in regards to tyre the story between Mercedes and Red Bull was different this time around., in comparison with the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix.

The 6th Grand Prix weekend of the 2020 F1 Season went on to a successfully hot and ignited start as the drivers utilised the two Free Practice sessions and made some very important and notable understandings which will affect each and every team a lot. Williams again gave a F2 racer a chance to drive a F1 car in the first Free Practice Session. The Spanish Grand Prix is a critical one keeping in mind what had happened previously on this circuit, what has happened previously in the 2020 F1 Season and what is set up for the future.

The second Grand Prix of the 2020 F1 Season ignited off as the drivers accelerated out on the Red Bull Ring for the second FP1 in just a week’s time as the Red Bull Ring hosts a double-header.
