THE RUSSIAN GP – INTERESTING ENOUGH AND YES TO DRAMA!

The Russian Grand Prix 2020 was pretty interesting as Bottas finally claimed another victory, Hamilton got a few more penalties, cars were sent spinning again, some friends went wheel to wheel, pit stops were in gaore for many and a lot more happened in the intricacies of the race.

The Friday Sense – Formula 1 VTB Russian Grand Prix 2020

It was F1 getting back to the Sochi Autodrom for a Grand – Prix weekend, which included France. Crashes followed but driving seemed dull. The track is very challenging for the drivers but it they still completed and drove in both the Free Practice Sessions, even though some crashed. The sessions were very low on drama, and they were both contrasting in many ways to the other Free Practice session of the day.

The Tuscan Grand Prix held in Mugello which is lesser known by but officially known by the name or title of Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio Della Toscana Ferrari 1000 2020 was successfully held with all drivers safely returning back to their garages from the first lap to the end of the race and action was high as some say Mugello took the verdict by many that “There can never be race close to Monza in recent times” a little too personally.

The Tuscan Grand Prix which marks a special event of being Ferrari’s 1000th race in Formula 1 and also marks a new track on the calendar, also 20 years of Kimi Raikkonen’s first ever Formula 1 test drive with Sauber and also Vettel’s move to Aston Martin as Perez’s contract gets terminated by Racing Point at the end of 2020. It was an interesting and intriguing Friday at an awesome circuit Marvelous Mugello!

WHAT A RACE! WHAT A RACE! – F1 ITALIAN GRAND PRIX 2020, MONZA!

That is what is probably required after every few races to mix it all up and have a podium with no Red Bull or Mercedes or even Ferrari. There was a lot of action an drama and emotions involved. So many emotions that Pierre Gasly wasn’t even able to soak it all in. Williams came in with a good performance to do a final one for the Williams family and Hamilton gave it such an amazing drive but it was all about the great great and historic drive by Pierre Gasly and ofcourse Carlos Sainz.

It was a great strategical qualifying and a lot of notes were made and the FP2 and the new regulations were awesome. A look into all of that and the whole of the 2020 F1 season alongwith a humble thanks to the Williams family.

THE FRIDAY SENSE – Formula 1 Gran Premio Heineken D’italia 2020

The Italian Grand Prix was off to an expected kind of start with there being some spins and some gravel run offs. There was a lot of insights gathered and it was very interesting to see how the drivers were fairing. The teams were also working out how to test their engine modes to fine tune them to their most perfect settings in order to maximise their performance and maintenance.

THE “PARTY MODE” BAN – A LOOK

This is not a race review but a preview of the future based on the analysis of the races. FIA have finalised the decision, which will come into action from the Italian Grand Prix in Monza during the 4th – 7th September weekend, which puts a ban on changing engine modes during the weekend. The teams will have to keep the engine mode exactly the same from Saturday qualifying till the completion of the race on Sunday, with the exception of in and out laps. This will have several effects on the races and may even make somethings a little bit less interesting.
